Hello
fellow school nurses! You will notice a new look and function for this
site. I have decided to take the site in a new direction and develop it
solely as a resource for other school nurses.
We all need
a little help now and then, and this is my way of reaching out to you and
offering some support. This page is and continues to be a "work in
progress", but the purpose is to provide you a spot where you can come an
get ideas (either my own or links to others school nurses) to help you get
through the school year.
Feel free to
browse....stay as long as you like.....and come back often. I will update
this page as I find new information. If you have any input or something
you think I should add please
e-mail me-I
am always looking for new ideas!
Thanks for
stopping by and have a great day!
Bulletin
Board Ideas
Ok admit it,
we all get stuck trying to think up a creative bulletin board idea. Bulletin
boards are a great way to get a message across to your students when you are
pressed for time, or unable to go into the classroom. However it is no fun
trying to rack your brain to figure out an interesting presentation. Below
is my current bulletin board idea, as well as links to other sites that offer
GREAT ideas for bulletin boards (even for the artistically challenged like
myself). Hope this helps. If you have any bulletin board ideas that
you have used and would like to share, please
e-mail
me and I will post them.

-
Have you
heard of Wuzzy? No, well then click
here
to learn more about how this "class care bear" can add a variety
of 10 minute health lessons to your primary classrooms. I am a state
funded school nurse serving in a parochial school, so I am restricted from
going in the classroom. Because of this, I have to find creative ways
to get my "health" message across. The Wuzzy program enables me
to "teach" health to my students. I love this program
and would recommend both sets of letters to anyone in the school nursing
profession.
